I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and have been providing therapy for more than 20 years. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in English from George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University, I completed the Certificate Program in Serving the Persistently Mentally Ill at the University of Southern California.

I am currently in private practice in Los Angeles, conveniently located near the LA County Museum and the Farmer's Market. I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, life transitions, addictions, trauma and grief, as well as a strong background in women’s issues, including balancing work and personal life, relationship challenges and struggles over body image.

Over the course of my career I have worked frequently with interdisciplinary teams, consulting with psychiatrists, nurses and occupational therapists. I have provided in-home therapy to clients with AIDS who were too medically ill to attend an outpatient clinic, and have also served as a clinical supervisor for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, helping to mentor unlicensed social workers.

Due to my background in treating trauma, I'm listed with the California Victim Compensation Program for the Hollywood LAPD. The program is designed to help victims of violent crimes who are injured or threatened with injury. The crimes covered include domestic violence, child abuse, sexual and physical assault.

I have been a Guest Lecturer at the California State University Northridge Graduate School of Social Work and have led workshops on writing and coping skills.
